Keystone by Palm Harbor

I think we have finally deceided on a Palm Harbor home in the Central TX area. We really wanted to see a Champion built home, but have had no luck viewing them as most of those dealerships in Austin area have closed. Just wanted to view them as a basis of comparison.

Our question, we were shown a line from Palm Harbor called Keystone. They are a lower line Palm Harbor, but you can get the construction upgrades of 2x6 exteriors, upgraded insulation, etc., just not cosmetic stuff like tape & texture.

Curious if anyone out there has any opinion if these homes are OK construction wise because we know they won't be as fancy.

THANKS!!

Palm Harbor has a wonderful customer service and warranty service in my opinion. That is what our previous home we sold was and they treated us very well. That counts for A LOT! The home was very well insulated, much better than the Fleetwood we live in now. I highly recommend Palm Harbor. I miss the one I had, but moved out to my parents ranch and had to lower my monthly mortgage payment drastically to make things work. Our Fleetwood we have now is wonderful, but I think the insulation may have been hit and miss in the walls, sure makes you wonder when you have drafts. Good luck with you decision, hope I helped. angelnstix
