Moving to GA also

Post by Nancy » Thu Nov 20, 2003 8:16 pm

My husband and I are moving to the Perry, GA area of the state. We want land to own horses. I have a fixed income of $7000.00 +, my husband just left the automotive industry where he was earning about $ 60,000.00. What are our chances of being able to finance land and a manufactured home to get started? We'll have an additional $450.00 per week for about a year. Can anyone help us?

Thanks so much for any leads/ideas/contacts.

Best regards,

Nancy H.

Temporary income is usually not counted when deciding on mortgage..Unfortunately $7K is not enough income to qualify..but there are no income verification loans available for those with very good credit...

Do you know your credit scores???????????

rmurray, thank you for your response. I do our credit scores. Mine is quite high, in the 800's I believe, my husband's is not so great, I think about 638. I am the financial manager, he is the breadwinner. His credit has been completely clean for at least two years, the low score came about when I was conned into believing that Credit Counselling, for him, to take care of a $1500. credit card debt was a great idea.( Warning to all: it is not a great idea.) The loan has long been paid off but I think it's what affects his score.

He makes about $60,000.00 up north, he runs the service department for the largest autodealership in the Northeast, and has been #1 in productivity for years. I have 3 years of law school under my belt and, as I said, a trust of $ 592. per month which, alone, would easily cover some the $140.00/month mortgage on the land we have our eye on.

So that is the story. We have excellent referenences,. My closest friend is an MD in Warner Robbins who would gladly act vouce for my my character as well as numerous other lawyers, MBA's, Ph.D's and so on who are long time friend sand who would be more than happy to provide references.

If you have any ideas, information, contacts, whatever, Please contact me via e-mail or on here. I will try to check in each day and I hope we can find someone who will work with us so we can have my land and a horse! (We're big animal lovers.) Plus my husband also has a thriving business on e-bay, which doesnt hurt in the income department. (As you can see, we're pretty resourceful

Thanks, murray,

Nance
