What is the best way for me to make an informed decision about my manufactured home? Is there some place where information is compiled about manufactured homes where I can do an in depth search? Everyone I tallk to has bad news to tell me about different manufactures? Can anyone tell me any good manufactures? I live in Texas. It's a small town called Texarkana. 3 hrs from Dallas and 2.5 from Little Rock Arkansas. Does anyone have any advice on homes in these areas?

Wilma, I proudly recommend you Solitaire homes of Waurika, Oklahoma. This company has been around for over 43 years in building fine quality manufactured homes. I grew up in a Solitaire home and three times my parents purchased a new one because of their growing families. I now am grown up and I own my own 18x80 1999 Solitaire home. Their is no other manufacture that builds homes like a Solitaire home. This company uses grid work in their floor and ceiling and wrap plywood over the exterior siding and applies hardboard siding over the plywood giving the home a solid siding. The interior is tape and textured with a brochade finished. The floor are even plywood and cabinets are real wood not the cheap compressed paper board type. They even use architectural shingles and black under paper on the roof. I highly recommend this company. Believe it or not most of their homes that they built since the time they started are still being lived in because they never built cheap manufactured homes. Give them a call in Waurika, Oklahoma and they will tell you their nearst dealer. I live in Arizona and traveled all the way to Albuquerque, New Mexico to purchase the home. I also grew up in a Solitaire Home that's how I know the quality workmanship this company puts into their homes. The Solitaire homes are popular in Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. I recommend this home and you can compare the contruction of the home to anyother manufacturer after you see a Solitaire home. No one can match their construction process specially the gridwork in the floor and the ceiling and tape and textured walls thru out. I responeded back to you to recommend this home and help you make an informed decision on your purchase of a manufactured home. I hope this will help you because you investment is the greatest you could ever make into a manufactured home
