is there a link that will decode vin numbers to manufacturer? I am looking at a house and want to know the mfg of the home.

There is no such listing available...Seems like it might be a good service...

You might try posting the number here and some here might recognize it and be able to help...

Also..all homes were built with a data label in them..hopefully it might be still attached...they can be found..in a closet, back of a cabinet door, sometimes on the electric box cover...Also..local taxing authorities usually have good info..also title most often has the manufacturers name..

The VIN number, or serial number will contain an abbreviation for the manufacturer, and also an abbreviation for the state in which the home was constructed. Larger multiplant manufacturers will also include a plant number.
