I have several problems going on with our new house. First, when the faucets in any part of the house is turned off after running water, the pipes make a clanging noise. I asked the dealer about this and their answer was the pipes had to be flexible to keep from bursting?????? Second, there is a bad creak in the floor in the dining room which runs the whole length of the floor close to the floor vent. Before I ask them if this can be fixed, I would like an answer from your experts if this would be possible to fix. Thanks for the time to reply.

Re: creaky floor
Hi there;
I installed and serviced homes for 18 years. The problem that you are having with your water lines can be fixed. Your dealer needs to place some type of soft material where your water lines are straped. As far as the floor sounds that you are hearing there are three things that could be causing this. Loose floor decking and that can be fixed. Loose floor joist, and that can be tightened from under your home. And the thrid is your heat duct, and you can place some soft material between where the duct is straped.
