what kind of manufactured home do I have

I would like to know what knid of Manufactured Home I have. I purchased it from a private owner, & to the best of their knownledge there is no title.
All I've been able to find out that it is about 25-30 yrs. old. It's a Mark 5. and a sticker that says it model no. M502. Have you ever heard of a mark 5? because i need more detailed info. to request a plate # from my home state.

There is a Mark V listed for Bellaire Products, but I have no other info. Buying a home without a title, is certainly leaving yourself wide open for problems.

I am trying to buy a manufactured home and we can not find anywhere on the home a sticker or plate with a number or anything. i do know that it is a 71 and I need to have it upgraded to a 76 in order to buy it. What can i do? There is no plate on this home. There is siding on it, is it possible that it is under the siding? Also in order for me to buy it, it has to be a 76? Is there somewhere were I can purchase a sticker or plate for a 76 model?

What they are really trying to tell you, is that it must be a HUD code approved home. This started in 1976, anything before that date was up to state approval, or lack thereof. You can not upgrade the 1971 to meet the 1976 standards. Labels and or seals were not required by all states prior to the enactment of the HUD code, and in no way, would the applicable seals or labels be HUD labels, in any event.
