Fast question. Relative to tie downs, is there any inherent advantage in doubling up on the tie downs when the dealer sets my home? I would imagine that the manufacturer has tie downs placed at strategic points on the home.... opinions ?
Thanks

Tie Downs
Re: Tie Downs
Number of tie downs depends on what wind zone you are in.This is governed by HUD regulations. If you live in zone 2 and want it tied down to zone 3 regulations I imagine you want have to pay the difference. If you get hit by a tornado it won't make a difference,if you are in hurricane country
zone 2 tiedowns will probably keep it down but it isn't going to help with any structural damage that might occur.Zone 2 tiedownsare pretty good in most cases.

Re: Tie Downs
Thanks Bill. I am in Zone 2. Northern Florida in the Tallahassee area. Not much in the way of hurricanes. Tornadoes do pop up now and again within about a 100 mile radius or so.
