COMPANIES, Whose Best
COMPANIES, Whose Best
What is the best Mobile Home in the market. I'm deciding between a champion home and Friendship home. I will be comparing specification, service before and after delivery, & warranty. Has anyone had any experience with either mobile?
RE: COMPANIES, Whose Best
Check out Fleetwood Homes. I like there construction, lattice seam bracing, corrugated I-beams, wider
spread I-beams, the only 2 full year warranty outlet and switch boxes nailed to the studs, 2x8 floor joist,
staggered floor decking, clean looking monolitich ceilings, air tight sealing storm windows, 17 & 25 oz.
carpet, brass shut-offs valves, CPVC plumbing, 48"/52" showers, Maytag appliances, etc.

RE: COMPANIES, Whose Best
Richard, Please don't buy a Champion home builders products. This company builds cheap homes and they build in mass production and don't really pay attention to the details. This company builds so many manufactured homes and many of the homes they built don't last after 20 years they fall apart. This company has a terrible reputation that they change their brand names every 5 to 10 years in the different geographical regins of the U.S. They use cheap laminated cabinets and cheap floor boards and one thing people have problems with is the roof. The roof would sag and you can see where the wall framing are holding the roof up and it's very cheaply design home. Last year we had a terrible dust storm in up to 65 mph and my neighbor had a 1992 champion home and it was completely destroyed by the wind. The roof blew off and the sidewalls were just torn apart by a 65 mph wind! and the other manufactured home survived the wind storm and it was during the summer too.

Terry, I commend you for telling the truth. And all that you said, it is true. I have heard you same complaints several times. I enjoy selling a product that is quality.
