Jon...Thank you very much for your post....My husband and I will definitely take note of your advice.....We have pretty much decided that Shamrock is the home we want...and yes, we have discovered they are pricey...We are making a list of the options we must have, and a "wish list" of options that would be nice, but I don't need them for a nice good functioning home. If our budget allows, we will have all the must have's and a couple of things on the wish list. It sounds like the "final walk through is crucial". They better not be in a hurry to walk us through fast, because I plan on trying every light, faucet, stove and dishwasher, air...windows, fans, electrical outlets I am going to test with a night light.etc. Someone told me that if you do not make a list of everything that needs attention or repair, it may never get done at a later date, so the final walk through should be so specific and complete.
