Hi everyone,
I'm considering renting a room in a manufactured home, but I’ve never lived in one before. Most of the information I’ve found focuses on buying manufactured homes, not renting.
I’m curious if there are any downsides compared to living in a regular house — things like insulation, noise, maintenance, utilities, or overall comfort.
For those who have lived in a manufactured home, how was your experience? Would you recommend it for renting?

Honestly, if the home is well‑kept, it can be just as comfortable as a regular house. The layout is usually simple, and the rooms can feel cozy. The biggest factor is the specific home and how well it’s been maintained.
