I recently got a new manufactured home and the home delivery company signed off that they removed the axles. To pass the HUD inspection we need to lay a tarp underneath the house but the axles are still there. I’d like to remove them myself but someone helping me with the process is telling me that the delivery company can sue us.
I only want to move the axles from under the house to the lawn, not sell them. Is there any actual law against us moving the axles twenty feet from under the house? I just want to get this process done with

I can't find any solution. Try to do it as legally as possible or you will suffer great losses.

You're likely fine to move them since you're not selling or disposing of them. Check your contract, document everything, and maybe call the company to clarify. It's doubtful they’d sue over this.

I totally understand the frustration. If you're just trying to move the axles from under the house to the yard without selling or damaging them, generally there's no law that prohibits a homeowner from doing that — especially if it's just to meet the HUD inspection requirement. As long as you're not falsely claiming that the delivery company didn’t do their job and you're not permanently damaging their property, there's likely no legal ground for them to sue you just for moving the axles a few feet. Hope this helps and please try to be more careful.
