Alright, I want to COMPLETELY renovate my bathroom!
We can do this mostly ourselves, well, neither of us have ever done it before but we are intelligent and creative individuals...
The bathroom is very large, it had been enlarged by the previous owner, who was obviously a complete idiot (he has made a mess of most of this place). He moved the one wall over (to enlarge it) and then moved the sink back and didn't do anything with pipes etc. everything is showing along the floor (very ugly) AND he did not move the water tank over, so there is a huge sqaure behind the water heater that is just collecting dust (behind the wall) and a teensy-weensy tub...
Anyhow, basically it's a complete mess and I want to rip everything out and re-do it (not the pipes, I'll figure a way to cover them).
My problem - Money, or, lack there of. So, I am not able to do everything at once but figure I can buy bits and pieces over time and then put it all together but still need cheap materials - Anyone in British Columbia know of a good place to do this? What about used materials - where can I find them?
Can we tear out the existing tub, the wall between it and the water heater, move the heater back and put in a corner tub on the opposite end (or whatever tub we decide on/think- square bathroom) without any problems?
The wall I want to remove is just the size of the width of the tub.
And, on average, in CAD, how much should I expect to spend on such a project? The very lowest amount plausible...
I am going to use linoleum for the tub/shower wall - I found this trick from a friend who did it in her kitchen

We figure we will need a plumber to re situate the water heater...unless someone here can give me info about how to do that?
I am a social person also, so if you're in the Okanagan B.C. area and are renovating or know someone who is, let me know - maybe we could collaborate?
Thanks for listening, any help grately appreciated.
