pet allowance rules

Post by surrisue » Wed Aug 08, 2012 1:36 pm

why is it that just about all of the senior mobile home parks in my county allow either 0 or one or two pets per household only? When I confronted one park manager as to why she sated that "Those are the rules and everyone has to sign and abide by them. That, to me is not a valid answer. I have 5 cats and a small dog. All are inside pets, never go out and I can provide home inspection and references upon request. What I do within the 4 walls of my own home should be my own business? Who thought up this stuff anyway??

When you move in to most MH communities you sign a rental agreement that often will include restrictions on the number of people, cars, and as in your case pets. Most communities have homes close together and limited outdoor space. The restrictions maintain the life style that is being marketed by management.

Can you imagine the volume of kitty litter that would be going into the community trash removal or sewer system if every home had five cats? Were you informed of the restrictions when you move in ?
