Looking for replacement windows

Post by SuzyQZee » Tue Apr 10, 2012 6:26 pm

Looking for replacement windows for a '93 Fairmont/Friendship Foxwood LE mobile home. We were told the windows weren't being manufactured any more. Any ideas whether we could install regular house windows? Would like to get good insulated windows if possible but replacement windows will do if we can find any. Also, are there replacement windows for a '95 Redman Magnum still available and if so, where could we buy them?

Manufactured housing windows have standard sizes that are shared through out the industry.22 X 58, 30 X 58, 46 X 58, 46 X 40, 46 X 48, 14 X 42 etc... I assume you have Phillips windows,if you are looking to replace and upgrade you can use Kinro windows as they are made to industry sizes. Phillips was for a long time the most common window and they produced several different styles such as mill finish single, mill dual glaze, white, bronze, vinyl, grids no grids.

If you just need a replacement you may be able to find one through a used supply house or even a local MH dealer. If you live within driving distance of one of the plants, contact Fairmont's service department,Indiana or Minnesota they may sell you replacement windows, for the Redman, contact the closest Champion facility, most Service departments will help current owners with replacement parts, just make sure you have all the info needed such as sizes and type.
