fleetwood?
fleetwood?
we've been looking for a little while now, and really like the waverlee brand, but then we found a fleetwood with the "perfect" floorplan...it was cheaper made, so we talked to the salesperson about upgrading the trim package, upgrading to tape & texture and some other things...i was still a little skeptical...i want it to last...I was almost convinced to go ahead with it until i looked on the consumeraffairs.com website...oh, my! it was page after page of nightmares! it sounds like the people building them must not care..maybe someone else can look it up and let me know your opinion or some other input that would be useful and our decision making...thanks
Re: fleetwood?
My wife and I looked at Fleetwoods several years ago before we purchased our Southern Energy home. We were NOT at all impressed with the construction or the quality of the home and the trim. They were doing a tape and texture on the home at the time, so the interior walls were exposed.
I'd recommend you purchase Mr. Grissim's books as they will provide you with a lot of information on what to look for in a quality home. The investment in the books was well worth it.

Re: fleetwood?
Also, Fleetwood filed for bankruptcy so I would be very leery purchasing one. The post on the Manufactured Home Owners forum.
