decode numbers?

Post by Starrcat2 » Mon Aug 18, 2008 3:56 pm

Is there a way I can decode the manufacturer's number which I found on the front cross beam of my home ? And a big ' Thank You!' to all who replied to my question about locating numbers on my home.

There is no code. It is a serial number. Call the home's builder for more information.

Sorry, there is a code to the serial numbers, Many folks consider the serial number the DNA of manufactured homes
The HUD Code at 3280.6 states the serial number needs to identify the manufacturer and state the home is produced.
I believe HUD website gives a list of manufacturers ID code.
For example, there is a Champion Homes plant in PA that is given the ID number of 007, which is in the serial number of all homes.
if you call HUD they should tell you the info you need
