I’m looking to buy a home.
I’m looking to buy a home.
I want to buy a house, and with the declining prices, why won’t the realtor cut their fees?
Re: I’m looking to buy a home.
real estate commissions are negotiated between the listing party and the realtor..In todays market there is lots of competition in this business....fees range but like any professional often you pay for what you get...often..low fees equal low service...Most sellers are afraid to go it alone especially in todays tough market...Sellers need all the help they can get...Market price is set by you the buyer..If you see a property you like...make a fair offer to the seller...Real estate purchases are interesting because all parties have different goals....
Remember the real estate persons fees are paid by the seller of the property unless you hire a buyers agent..but keep in mind that that person works for the seller and your interests are secondary..Find the home you like and buy it...The market needs you now....

Most of the realtors I know sell on a percentage of the sale price, so if the prices are dropping so are their commissions. And just like most other professionals, there is the cost of overhead of doing business. If you want to save money, look in your local area for businesses like Help-U-Sell, or Assist-2-Sell, but know that you are flying like a plane without the benefit of navigation instruments (flying blind or by sight alone). It takes years to become a valuable and knowledgable professional.
