What can we use to clean the sky lights on our manufactured homes.

It really depends on what the skylight is made of... if you purchased the home new call the dealer if not find a dealer for that brand of home in the local yellow pages and ask them. I would think you almost could not go wrong with warm water and a genital soap product. I would avoid caustic chemical cleaners...

Try to clean the inside and exterior on the same day. Start on the inside by moving any furniture from beneath the skylight opening and laying a plastic cloth on the ground to catch any spills. Skylights are rarely placed for cleaning convenience, so determine the safest way to access the opening.

Test any chemicals on a corner of the skylight to be certain it does not damage Plexiglas lenses.

On the outside, take up a bucket with a few drops of dish soap and a sponge to the roof. Pull up the nozzle end of your garden hose, and fill the bucket after you are on the roof. Hose down the skylight, and then wash the pane with the sponge. If there is sap, bird, or bug excrement, employ a citrus based cleaner, and finish by rinsing thoroughly. Test any chemicals on a corner of the skylight to be certain it does not damage Plexiglas lenses. For both Plexiglas and regular glass, wax the skylight with automotive paste wax after it has been cleaned. Two coats of wax, will protect against environmental damage, and will make rainfall bead off....

I don't think a genital soap product (as referenced above) would be necessary. Thumbs up on the dish soap and the wax
