MH roof needs to be replaced.
MH roof needs to be replaced.
We are thinking about purchasing an MH as a vacation home but it needs a lot of work. It needs a new roof, siding will have to be replaced - just to start. We are wondering what is the best roof to put on? We called a couple contractors and they told us we wouldn't be able to put on a metal roof because the house was built in 1986, and the walls would not be strong enough to hold it. They suggested a rubber roof?? Any suggestions? The home is in Northern Michigan.
Re: MH roof needs to be replaced.
We put a metal roof on each of our homes, the single wide (I think it was a 1991) and this one, which started it's life as a double wide.
Re: MH roof needs to be replaced.
Did you have the support beams going around the outside of the home to hold up the roof? How much do you remember it costing? Thanks!!!
Re: MH roof needs to be replaced.
We just put regular coated metal roof on top, My husband put strips of wood on the roof and then applied the new metal roof to that. It wasn't expensive, but then again he did it himself.
