air ducts

Hi,
I would like to know if you can advise me of what to do with my bathroom combination light, fan and cold air duct. I have disconnected the fan and only use the light. I want to keep in the warm air from the register in the bathroom and not have it escape to the outside. I have tried a weatherstrip cap but in the cold air the duct tape didn't last long. There are no open windows but with the bathroom door open as well as the bedroom door open, the shower mist can escape.
The other question is what can I do with a hollywood tub that isn't used at all? Can I take it out and put a wood floor in place of it to use as a storage area?
Thanks, Jo

Personally, I would reconnect the fan. It's important to get that moist air out of the building. There should be a flap that keeps cold air from entering.
As to the tub, yes, you can take it out (make sure it fits through the door first) but you'd be removing a saleable feature of the home. If you wanted to use it for storage, you could put a curtain up, and a shelf IN the tub, or build something incorporating the tub.
My two cents...
