Commadore window problem

Hi!

We love our 1993 Commadore home and have been very happy with the over all quality.

The Phillip windows, however, are an issue. The spring makes an aweful noise when opening or shutting the windows. We have central air and rarely open the windows, only in the spring and fall. It is annoying at that time, but then I forget about it and have not reported it to the manufacturer.

I want to persue this issue now that I am experiencing the problem again this spring.

Any suggestions?

Shoot some WD-40 on it? If you can get at the spring, that is.
