Novodeck & Vinyl Peel & Stick Tile

My mobile home has Novodeck flooring. I would like to replace my carpet with the vinyl peel & stick tile (the 12" x 12" squares). Can this be done WITHOUT having to put an underlayment of plywood, and without having to apply a liquid floor leveler? Will the peel & stick tile stick to the Novodeck? I would like to do this ASAP, so any and all helpful tips or advise are welcomed! I don't have much money to play with, so if I can do it without having to have an underlayment, that would be great, but I also want something that will last at least 4 years without having any problems with the tiles coming loose.

Boy, I wouldn't. the peel and stick lino will show every little bump, seam, staple, peice of debris.
Plus, if you ever need to remove a tile, it is going to screw up the decking.
In the old days, we used to cover the floor with 15# roofing felt, it cushioned the lino and helped hid little bumps.
If you are insisting on the press and place tile, I would install roofing felt first.

I've done it and it went fine. If you're going to do it in a wet area (kitchen/bath) make sure to waterproof the Novadeck first. Also, spend the time to pull any and every staple out of the floor. Use a pair of needle-nose pliers to pull them out and get under them as need be.
As Eugene notes - removing a tile might pull up material - so once down, left down.
