Countertop edging

Does anyone know how to repair/replace/disguise the edge on a countertop where it chipped off? My handyperson says it will be difficult to match the color of the countertop. I want to try to sell my home, and don't want to install all new countertops, just to make this look good!

why not remove the old edging (assuming it is formica or a similar product) and replace it with a contrasting color like white?
Or maybe with an Oak hardwood edge?
