To do or not to do..addition onto DW

I was wondering what your opinoins are on adding an addition onto a DW home. My husband and I are in the process of buying a new double wide to set on our property. At first my plans were to have it installed over a a basement we could finish off. But after talking with some of the dealers here it is going to cost alot more than I originally thought. Now we are thinking along the lines of having an addition built off the back or side consisiting of a playroom and 2 additional bedrooms. Is this something that is o.k. to do? I have heard that you can not attach any addition onto a MH without causing stress to the home. If that is true, how is this done. Any input you could share is so welcome. Thank you.
