New crawl space access.

Post by Mischelle Hamilton » Thu Jun 09, 2005 9:31 am

We have a double wide MH on a concrete block foundation set on concrete footings. There is a crawl space access at one end of the home but we would like to have another one at the opposite end to access that area.

Will I cause a structural problem by removing the two courses of blocks that would allow for that access?

Most likely your home is not even attached to the blocks. So this would not cause a problem with your home if thats the case. Feel under the edge of your siding you should be able to feel the top of your blocks. However be very careful when removing blocks the top row could fall down.
