A/C leaking into duct work under floor
A/C leaking into duct work under floor
Help-why is the A/C leaking water into the air ducts under the floor instead of draining out the water drain pipe? The air ducts have so much water in them you can see it under the duct covers and there is mold in there too.......Again HELP!!!
Re: A/C leaking into duct work under floor
Hi Kathy,
Most likely the drip pan beneath the a-coil inside the furnace is rusted allowing the condensation to drip into the ductwork instead of being piped to outside of the home. It can be an expensive fix as the a-coil will need to be removed to replace the drip pan. To remove the a-coil, the freon first needs to be captured so the lines can be disconnect. Then the freon put back into the system.
Wish you luck!
