Re-decorating

Post by Kelly » Mon Nov 29, 2004 2:18 pm

Hi,

I am buying a 2000 manufactured house and I would like to redecorate. Can anyone tell me the best way to do it? Should I just paint over the walls or buy more panels? I would really appreciate any advice you can give me. Especially links to decorating resources. I have seen some panels at places like Home Depot, but they didn't really have anything I liked.

Again, any help would be greatly appreciated!

You have just about as many options as does a regular stick built home does. You can paint, but you must clean and primer first. You can texture, so there are alot of options here. Just need to narrow down the effect you want and let us know. I would suggest you get a feel for the home first, once you move in, your tastes may change. Tom

The only thing, there is "should be" a white sheet of paper called the data plate, either in the master bedroom closet, under the kitchen sink or near the electrical panel box.
By all means do not damage this data plate. Try to keep it where it is posted, and if you do need to move it, place it back on the wall somewhere in the home. Also, there is or are, on the outside of the home, the manufacturer's certification labels, (red 2x4). Please do not alter these labels also.

What information is contained on "data plate"? I need to look for mine.
