Doorknobs

We have an EAGLE 1986 Mobile Home. The doorknobs are ugly brown plastic...we want to replace them. The trouble is, there are no screws, and we can't figure out how to get the knobs off. Does anyone know anything about this?

If I remember right,,,,look at the shaft close to the knob where it butts againts the ring that covers the hole in the door. With me yet? Okay, you should see a metal clip and by pushing in on the clip, it will allow the sleeve and knob to pull off.. This clip will be on the inside of the door.

If all else fails-----BEAT IT OFF!!! You said your replacing them anyway! lol
