Metal siding...wind damage

Our ferocious wind blew off two sheets of aluminum panels......the problem is...we live in a remote area where we cannot get mobile home aluminum panels.....we can get a heavier weight metal siding......the crimping is very close, although not an identical match....would this heavier weight siding be okay to use.??? Thanks all.

Sounds like you are in the right ballpark. Anything to keep the elements from entering your home is a good choice. Aluminum panels are indeed lighter than say steel, but with only 2 panels being replaced, you should be fine
