home falling apart

Post by walter dabbs » Wed Jan 14, 2004 4:37 pm

to whom this may concern, i bought this home from luv homes in gastonia,n.c. over a year ago. not pleased with the way they have handdled my complaints about things that were wrong. this home is a repo, a 1995 skyline 3 bedroom and 2 baths. we had to have them out to fix the kitchen floor, and they did a sorry job of doing it. i have called back several times to tell them that it was not right. they keep saying it is because it is an older home. hey we are paying over 20,000 dollars for this home, and i think they should do something about it before it falls apart. my wife and i are on a fixed income, and we sure can't afford to have work like that done.also it has a tin roof and boy does it ever rumble when the wind blows. they did come out and put some cool seal on it, but it has gotten worse. thanks for reading this note. just wanted to let you know how some people can get took advantage of.....god bless......walter dabbs....my friends call me ...pete

You are lucky you have gotten any service...most used homes are sold as is..with no warranty...

Would you buy a 8 year old car and expect the dealer to warranty it for over 1 year??????????????...You know better..

Or maybe you have a real estate office in your area that warranties used stick home when they sell them...I doubt it..

Remember even though you paid 20K..a new version is closer to 35K...and even then the warranty would have been only for 1 year..

You need to get advice and start caring for you home...before it does fall apart..
