negotiating a price with dealer

my husband and I are seriously looking for a manufactured home in Northern California. Just curious if anyone knows an average of how much a dealer will go down on the retail base price of a 1700 square foot double wide Fleetwood?

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. We are working on a very tight budget and I would love to save a few thousand or so on the base price so that I can do some upgrades.

depends on the dealer. I shopped 3 different dealers & got between on $71,500 - $75,000 on my Homes of Merit in Florida. that was with $10,000 in upgrades.
make sure they all have the same specs so you are comparing apples to apples.
go with the lowest only after checking references from prior buyers & the department of motor vehicles can tell you if any complaints were filed against the dealer in the past..
