Lot Fee Increase

Does anyone know what the law is as far as what the Mobile Home Park management can increase lot fees in Florida? Is there a certain cap put on to keep the rental within reason. Let's face it, the homeowner's are at a certain disadvantage in this regard. Our lot rental is going up over 10% next year with no extra benefits to us. Any advice appreciated.

I beleive the law in Florida allows 'conscionable' rent increases. While 10% may appear to be high, ask for the underlying reasons. Have property taxes increased significantly? In many areas of Florida, they have. Look at the values of surrounding residential property. Has it increased in value by 10% or more in the last year? Sometimes the unseen benefits are greater than you realize. Those can include a well maintained community, professional management, appropriate screening policies for new applicants, increasing values on the homes that are sold in the community and more.
