I am retiring and thinking about managing a land leased New MH Community consisting of 198 lots (40 X 100) in the city limites having a concrete fence around the entire community. My son built it and it should be open in the next few months. All paved streets, curbs, sidewalks, 2-trees and parking for 2-autos on each lot, etc. We do not plan to "rent" any homes, but will possibly buy and install a few to Sale to get the community started.
We have our ideas on what to stipulate in the lease(s). For example, no home older than 2-years, must be professionally skirt, etc.
This is all new to me. What do I need to do to be professionally prepared to be a top notched communitty manager and what resources are available to assist me in this calling?
