Here I am again and would like a little feed back on a problem that we are incountering this year also "besides dogs".
We have older model homes in the resort and have added to our rules that you have to paint your home every 4 to 5 years or put new siding. I wish that we could talk them into new siding but some can't afford that.What I would like to know is.
Where does a person get the colour schemes to paint mobile homes? New ones look great and are not painted the dark colours of the fifties. There has to be something to go by to give the old ones a nice face lift. I don't want the rest of them to look like a few that I have in the place already.
Does anyone have any ideas.

Paint colours for older mobile homes
Re: Paint colours for older mobile homes
Why not try for neutral color (cream or off-white or a soft grey) and brighten it up with shutters (dark blue or wine or forest green)? Those colors are less dated and will help to modernize your community and the homes.

Chrissy;
Me again, thanks for the colours.
How do the manufacturers get there colours for the newer models that are comming out?

Re: Paint colours for older mobile homes
Louise, We have some pre-HUD rental units we painted. We tried some of the newer colors on them. Homes this old look better painted white with the newer colors for shutters. If your homes are not as old as mine --- then go for it.
Re: Paint colours for older mobile homes
Go to your local paint store and use their historical charts staying away from loud colors such as royal blue, purple, gold etc. Use flat on the base of home semi gloss on trim and high gloss always looks nice on shutters. Always have in lease redecorating the exterior has to be ok by management
