This welcoming idea is a super way to get your Resident Relations program off on the right foot. If you have an absentee owner, they might want to write the letter of introduction, giving some of your background, and talking about the skills you bring to the community. If you write the letter, the same information should be included. This is also a great time to invite everyone up to a "Get to Know the Manager" reception. Keep the refreshments light, the time short (1 hour) and do not take complaints, or tie yourself up with any one person too long. Invite those residents with issues to visit you during office hours. The letter should also include a statement about how much you are looking forward to meeting everyone and working with them to preserve and enhance their lifestyle.
