cracked cellings

purchased home in 2003, noticed ceilling was cracking has continued over the past year or so. the crak is only 15 or 16 ft from the front of house only. Also some cracks along the outer walls. All cracks appear where the old coach sat. Had the house checked for leveling problems , there were none. also all tie downs are OK. There is also a crackling sound in the ceiling Could this be to the contracting of the air ducts? Sound most prominent in the cold weather or in heavy wind. thanks for any held

When you say "this is where the old coach sat" are you saying you had a new home installed on an existing foundation?
If so, that is the problem, the foundation is not stable.
