Price range in CA
Price range in CA
Is there any dealer that I can lookup the price of a new MH online? I live in south California. I have seem 2bed/2bath MH that sell for $70-80k here and wondering if that is the right price range. Thanks.
Re: Price range in CA
No there is no online price list...try the find a home section of this web site..Unfortunately everything in CA seems high priced.....
Re: Price range in CA
What I don't get is why the MH price is high in CA? The value of the land can go up but why the MH itself since the materials to make the MH do not go up that much (is it?). I can understand why conventional home price went up since there are land associated with it.
I know an MH 10 years ago can be bought for around $30k brandnew. The same MH 10 years latter is selling for $80k. Almost 3 times more for something that is 10 years old??

Re: Price range in CA
Yeah..CA....There are 30 year old manufactured homes selling for $1,000,000 in Southern CA...buy this one before it goes up.....Price is all location..location...location.....Move to GA...10 year old small doubles sell for about $20K.......
Re: Price range in CA
Not only does the land have value, but also the right to live in a certain location. The check you would want to make is - what is the cost of a new MF home built in So. Cal, versus one built in AZ or OR. That 10-year-old home is worth, say, $15K, but the right to place it on that lot is worth $65K. Do you follow?

Price in park is high in Ca ,because there is no spaces ,you have to by the old homes and pull it out for the new or you have to move as far as rosemond for a new space in park.If its land home all cost are the same as building a new custome home. on average w/ most upgrades there running $76 - $82 dollars a sqft. shopping price is not the way to buy , You are looking for good clean work and service after you purchase.

Re: Price range in CA
Well, I live in a resident owned park (San Marcos California) and there are several new homes for sale...new meaning brand new. Also, there are lots owned by real estate companies who are willing to pull off and order new. Of course, since you own the land in the park, you're going to pay about $300,000 for land and new home. I bought a Silvercrest in 2004 with a permanent foundation in this park. I paid $236,000 and this year got an equity loan with the appraisal at $315,000. It's California....nothing is cheap.
