In need of some advice :)

Post by Jeff T » Thu Apr 07, 2005 2:09 am

Im considering purchasing a Clayton Brookdale Model# BRD28563K we were quoted "A discount price" of 55k does this sound accurate to anyone. Better yet does anyone own one of these homes already?

We walked through the above model But I had two other intrest which we did not see:

40BRD28764AH05 and 40BRD28643BH05 all of which can be seen on Clayton.net

The first house is 1538 The 2nd 1685 and the third 2001 Sq Feet

Basically I have no idea how to find out if the prices they offer me are comparable I defenitly will shop around but everyone on this forum seem very helpfull If anyone has any information about these please let me know :)

Also if anyone has any suggestions of other models let me know. We dont know how much our loan will work out to be because its going through FHA but we estimated that we will be able to spend about 100k, 25k of that would be for land.

Also is 100k to much to invest in a manufacutred home??

We really only need 3 bedrooms but a 4th would be welcome as well.

Thank you for your time and I apologize If I am asking any dumb questions :)

You might try the book store on this site...Grisom's book talks about all manufacturers...the "what to look fors" and how to get the best prices...$100K is not unusual for a decent home in a good location...The books here are a cheap way to save thousands...and maybe avoid a lot of heartache.....
Ask here often...
