Buying a mobile home in a park

Post by Dennis Bloomer » Sat Apr 02, 2005 11:37 am

I am considering buying a manufactured home and setting it up in a mobile home park in washington state. I have heard that if I do so, there is no guarantee that the land on which the parks exsists, can be sold at anytime and developed for other uses thereby
forcing out any and all residents of the community. I wonder if this would be a very wise decision. I am planning to retire and like the idea of living in a community where the residents are more my age ie a 55+ park. I am planning to buy a home that is already set up in a mobile home park with all the criteria I am looking for but, if I do so, I am afraid that my investment in a mobile home under these circumstances would be at risk. Any thoughts on this subject would be very helpfull.
