Modular w/Open Floor Plan

Post by Deb » Sun Mar 27, 2005 6:11 am

I have been shopping around for a Modular Home 1600-1800 sq ft Ranch 3br/2bath with an open floor plan. Large kitchen opening into living/great room. In addition I want the utility room and second bathroom at the rear of the home, where you can come in that area from the outside. I have visited several sale centers, but in this area (Kentucky) most do not have but 1 or 2 Modular Models on the lot. Anyone know of a home that would be close to this description. I have looked at the 1700 Entertainer, but do not need to large screen tv or the fireplace and some of the other things that is includes. Any help or information would be appreciated.......

How about one like this?

A 3rd bathroom could be placed in the laundry room.
Not sure if Horton makes this model anymore, I don't think they do, but they probably have simular models.

As for your selection, ask to see their plan books. No dealer is going to have every available model on the lot.

Thank you for the information. I do hope to locate one I can walk thru.... seeing it on paper is hard to picture exactly how big the rooms actually are. So many of the dealers in this area just don't have the information on the Modulars. They mainly sell the Manufacturered homes. Some have said that some of the same plans in the Manuf can also be gotten in the Modular, but with some changes.
