son bought a repo

My son went to a mobile home lot to look at buying there 1st home. They have no credit but had a couple of doctors bills that needed to be payed off. He payed them off. he is getting a F H A loan and has been approved for up to 39000.00
He ended up getting a repo 1999 model for 26000.he signed his contract about
4 weeks ago. He put 3000.00 down and he still dont have his mobile home
and his first payment is due nov-1st. today is 10/11/04 is this right!!!
please advise.

It is not likely the payment is due yet..usually the payment is at least 30 days from the delivery of the home...the lender can make a contract modification...just be sure it comes from the lender..he should call the lender ASAP...The dealer will not get his money until he does a customer interview...I hope he has not already done one...that interview will ask if the home is delivered...some slick sales person can get new buyers to do the interview and lie...I hope your has not...

What does the dealer say...is the home delivered but not complete...or is it not delivered at all...there should be no reason it is not delivered...but it would not be unusual to take a few weeks to finish a double section...

In some parts of the SE...it is possible delivery could be delayed because of insurance...no insurance company will issue coverage when there is a tropical strom or hurricane in the picture...this has delayed some deliveries in some states..
