Modular dealers - southern Indiana

Post by Mike » Sat Jun 26, 2004 10:14 pm

I own a couple of acres in Marysville, Indiana (northern Clark County, IN) about 25 miles north of Louisville, Kentucky. Due to family circumstances, I will be forced to move within the next 6 months.....so I plan to build a home on my land in Indiana.

Does anyone have any feedback regarding the modular home dealers in southern Indiana ??? (Madison, Charlestown, Seymour, Scottsburg, Corydon, etc.)

I am deed-restricted against any form of single, double or triple-wide trailers....must be modular or site-built house at least 950 square feet.

Due to cost and time factors, I am seriously looking into the modular housing option, looking to spend well under $100,000 installed and finished on my lot.
The lot has electric, water, and telephone at the road; must have a septic system, it is flat and clear with a new gravel driveway for access.

Also, someone told me that insurance companies in Indiana will not insure a modular itself, just the contents only. Can anyone advise on this ????

Any comments are welcome, either here on this forum or email me direct at [email protected]

Thanks, Mike in Indiana

You might want to check out

www.DiscoveryCustomHomes.com

Check out the Sawgrass model..it is 1285 sq ft and should be priced in the range you are looking at...Some of the other floorplans will be higher..They will have builders somewhere close by..

Check with insurance agents for good info...most insurance companies insure these homes as homes...period...just like any other home..
