Help Please
Hello, I have never bought a manufactured home before and I have a question... (this may sound silly to some) Do you have to pay "rent space" for the area that my home will be on? If someone could answer this for me, I would be most grateful!! Thank you in advance!!
Re: Help Please
There is more than one type of place to locate your home...
Rental communities offer you the opportunity to rent a space..rent might include water..sewer..trash pick up...some parks have pools..club houses..tennis courts..even security gates..Rents can vary depending on location and goodies that are included..
You can buy a home and put it on your own lot..Financing can be arranged to pay for both..home and lot...also any improvements that might have to be done..such as clearing, driveways, water sources, septics or sewer hook up...Anything that is a permanent improvement on the land...In areas of the country where land is reasonably available..this combined loan will be much cheaper on payments than the house payment plus rent in a park..
Then there is all the places that are slightly between the above...many homes end up on relatives land...some times folks finance the land and home separately..sometime folks rent spaces outside of park...even in some places..police and firemen get free rent and utilities from the school system to act as on-site security..most large military bases have parks on base...I am sure there are others..
By the way...the only dumb question is the one you do not ask...
