Southridge by Patriot

I have been reading the posts here for several months and they have been very helpful. From what I've read Patriot homes have a good reputation when it comes to quality and affordability however it has been mentioned in a few posts that different manufacturing plants owned by Patriot produce different quality homes with Southridge being at the low end. I really like the Southridge Homewood's floor plan and overall design though I haven't actually been in it because nobody in my area carries it. We have a lot down south that we would like to place it on to live in full time after I retire in a couple of years. Would someone with specific knowledge about Southridge homes please comment. What other manufacturers are they comparable to? Although I really love the floorplan and especially the exterior I don't want to spend retirement regretting a poor choice. Thanks for any comments.

on saturday, i saw a home by southridge. it was nice--(can't remember which one it was), but it does not have tape and texture in the "wet" areas. however, maybe that is something that doesn't really matter to you. you might want to take a tour of the factory where they are built--it is such a learning experience, and you can ask all your questions.

good luck.

I am a dealer that has handle SouthRidge for the last 3 1/2 years. Great built homes, great factory service people, one of the best decisions I have made was to stock SouthRidge homes. Yes they are like you said at the low end but with the standard features they are low on the mid range scale, instead of low on the low end scale if that makes sense. You can now order them with tape and texture thru out the home even in the wet areas, ordered and set one in December for a customer. The only area that they will not tape and texture is inside the closets. You will not go wrong with SouthRidge on your new home. If you are in North Louisiana or South Arkansas, please give me a call at 870-881-0300.
