Champion Custom Series

Hey all! I have been doing a lot of research and shopping around. We really found a Champion dealer that we like but I have a question. We really like their custom series... which our dealer offers as modular... but the house still has the steel frame and is brought out on wheels?? But the house does have almost all of the qualitys that are recommended (structural) to make it a great home.. we do have to upgrade to sheetrock throughout. Any ideas why they are calling this a modular??? Help! Thanks!!

Modular homes are built to state building codes..they are modeled after 4 different model codes in different states..Many states allow the frame on a modular...In my area I know SC and FL do...GA does not on residential modulars but does allow the frame on commercial modulars...Go figure..
