Ray:
I have a DW at Tenkiller and heat with Propane which I would do again when I replace my home with a newer one. I had a heat pump in a house I had in Tenn and didn't like it. It never put out warm enough air unless it went to coils than it is just a standard furnace. If electric is all you can do that maybe a heat pump would be OK but propane is not as expensive to run as electric and heats the house very well.

Thanks for the input, John. We're up at Fort Gibson. From what I'm hearing it seems heat pumps are "marginal" at best in our part of the country. Think we're going to go w/gas heat at this point.....Ray

GIVE HEA PUMP A TRY. IT WORKS GREAT FOR ME HERE IN NORTHERN NORTH CAROLINA. IN THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS DAYTIME TEMPS HAVE BEEN IN LOW 40'S, AND I HAVE A 1700 SQ FOOT HOUSE AND I LEAVE THE THERMOSTAT AT 72 AND IT DOES A GREAT JOB. I WILL ADMIT THAT WHEN IT FIRST FIRES UP THAT IT TAKES ABOUT 30 SECONDS FOR THE AIR TO FEEL WARM, BUT THEN AFTER THAT IT IS GREAT. JUST A THOUGHT, KEN JACKSON
