Prices

Why is it that most dealers or retailers are always so damn vague when it comes to pricing packages? If anybody can tell me where I can find that information I'd be grateful.

I can only speak for myself here...but I will...

Most homes have numerous options available..often in the high end homes these can be in the tens of thousands..also..set up requirements are different in every local area..this can effect the delivered price substancially...there are many types of underpinning available..and many different a/c units available..

As you can see...there is no way to quote a specific price without substancial information about the specifics of the purchase...When each specific has been discussed in detail...a detailed delivered price is no problem...Most of us have been burnt by quoting without complete information..Since the industry is soooo competitive..too low makes us sound decietful later..too high loses a deal to the competition who had all the info...

There is no published MSRP..and manufacturers will not quote a price for the same reasons listed above..With all the info above..any salesperson should be able to quote and exact price..If they refuse to after they have all of the info...leave..

I understand what you are saying.

I'm getting ready to retire in a few years and have asked for some base prices of several makes/models I like and can't get a straight answer.

I own my property and tell them where it is. Irealize that options cost, but would like is a base cost. A base price 40,000--50,000 doesn't get it. Is it 40,000 or is it nearer to 50.000. Cost do go up but people would like to be able to get an idea of what they can afford.

IS THERE ANYWHERE I CAN GO!!!
