different options

I have looked a so many manufactured homes through the last several yrs. It is my dream to have one. I wish I could get a job designing interiors!!! Anyway I have
some questions..

We are looking at single and double wides. I know I heard somewhere of dealers that offered hardwood floors, cedar siding and steel roofs. I don't know if one company offers all 3 but I want to get a home that is more country style. I have seen some homes with vinyl "hardwood" flooring that looks really good. I know I sound crazy but I would have that in the living room if they will do that I keep forgetting to ask. (We have dogs and we love the warmth of hardwood floors and rag rugs.)

I don't know why anyone hasn't designed a line of homes with a post & beam type of theme? I think it would be a good seller with the popularity of americana/country. I need to figure out how to get in that business....that would be a cool job huh?!

Anyway...has anyone seen anything like this? Oh I have seen Century's "log siding" I really love their cabinets.

Thanks,
Double-wide junkie!

Southern Energy has it all...even the "post and beam look.."..Probably Indies as well..

I doubt that anyone actually inventories such a home though..

with wood paneling...not the cheapo stuff, but the solid wood look, like cedar or pine or mahogany. I can't remember exactly what she told me it was made of. The didn't have it put together so I didn't get to see it, but I saw a picture.

The only thing, though, is that it wasn't a Southern "Energy", their best line, but a plain "Southern", their lowest line (as I understand it.)

The Melvin Williams dealer in Savannah showed me through an Indies that had beautiful hardwood floors. It was one of the finest homes that I have seen with some very fine natural wood touches that made it truly outstanding. It's the only Indies home I have seen but it certainly compared favorably with the Jacobsen, Homes of Merit & PalmHarbors that I've seen.
