Heat Pumps and Solar panels

Post by SaDawna » Wed Apr 24, 2002 2:14 pm

Okay, I've found a Hallmark, found the land, now am trying to figure out the options best for us..Does anyone have any experience with Heat pumps? (Air-source and/or Geothermal) I've heard the geothermal ones can also heat your water. Seems very earth friendly and VERY economic in the long run. Anyone know the price point for these? Also...I am interested in adapting to solar energy. Anyone had experiece there? Please let me know any/all opinions. Most retailers looked at me like I was nuts.."There's plenty of electricty to go around, you know?" was one comment. Are there any renewable energy/energy saving packages out there? Thanks again. By the by, I live in Northern California and do not have to worry about below freezing temps.Thanks.
