New Home-Which Company

Post by Wanda » Mon Mar 18, 2002 12:19 pm

I live in Blairs, VA and we have Fleetwood, Clayton, Oakwood, and Palm Harbor to choose from in our immediate area. We have gone and talked to the guys at Palm Harbor. We are looking at a triple wide with over 3100 square foot that runs 83,000. This is just the price of the home and does not come with any furniture and the only appliances that come with this particular home is refridgerator and stove. Some of the other models came with all appliances. The house was beautiful but I am leary of Mobile Homes. I have heard horror stories about some of the dealers here and would like any input anyone may have.

Thanks

Jeanne

I also need infor on companies. I live in Laurel Mississippi area and want to know which of these 3 companies is the best: Pinnacle homes, Indies homes, or Cappart (not sure of the spelling of this type of home). Does anybody know the answer to my question?

The nicer ones I've looked at have been Adrian, Sunshine, Palm Harbor & Clayton, FWIW. (I'm a SC resident, so that would put me in the mid-atlantic region) I've seen some flimsy Fleetwood & Oakwood homes during my search. One Fleetwood even had some kind of chemical on the carpet that made my eyes water & it was nearly impossible to breathe in it. Bleh.
